Embers

Through endless paths
Of lonely thoughts
I slowly slipped.
Seeking warmth,
Another's touch.

I hoped,
An ember's hope
In winter's chill,
The glow of passing life
Consuming in its rush to death.

And how I longed for warmth.
Clutching, grasping; nothing!
And as the coldness seeped inside

Through endless paths of lonely thoughts I found:

I am I, and I am alone.

I Know...

Spaces

Embers

Set Me Free...
