Photographic restoration is a passion of mine. Many of the historical photographs in my family have been badly damaged along the way and really need image processing to restore the life and luster they once had. Along with the diverse technical and artistic problems, photographic restoration brings many interesting ethical questions.

To the lower left are the 'before/after' results of a photograph of my mother I restored.

Below right is one of the first photographs of my grandmother as a baby, my great grandmother and her mother. Originally a fragile piece of paper, it is now digitally restored, enhanced, stored and preserved for future generations.

Photographic Restoration: Although it may take many hours of painstaking work, photographic restoration is a passion of mine. The refinished photo is a joy compared to the mutilated but treasured original.
