Background:
I have been involved as a professional media consultant in the development and production of video/video-related materials for education (teacher and student) and commercial concerns. Research, analysis and implementation of new media, including computer and video technologies has also been a professional area in which I have worked.
Approach:
Video is, in many respects, a unique medium in that it combines images, motion and sound to present its information. It also has had great limitations in its optical and sound quality up to the present, much of which has been solved through the advent of High Definition Television and digital, CD-quality sound. My approach is to accentuate the positive aspects of the television medium while attempting to reduce the negative aspects to a minimum. Multi-media packages are an excellent approach to incorporating television and other media into a larger context containing high quality components.
The creation of simple but highly effective and efficient video and integrated media packages is of paramount importance to me in my work. Simplicity and elegance are keywords defining my approach.
Interests:
I am interested in all aspects of media, including new technologies, their advantages and uses as well as philosophical approaches which will produce simple, elegant, but highly effective and efficient communications.
