*Explorer!-G/L is the result of two years of self-reflection, discussions, arguments, high stress, laughter and tears! It arose from a project on which I collaborated with author Patricia Williams - 'Once Upon a Lifetime…' - the PC-Version. In working on this project, I realized there were many specific and important questions I wished to investigate regarding my own life and the lives of those around me, questions of a much more personal nature. Ultimately, the creation process was undertaken as most of my life went into great flux, forcing me to evaluate my most basic concepts about life and living.
Explorer is the concrete result of a lifetime's experience, many of them not the most pleasant in nature. In creating Explorer, I was forced to remember, recognize, examine and deal with many of the areas of my past that I had forgotten or with which I thought I had previously dealt. In many cases it was not a welcome experience, but one which ultimately brought me to important self-realizations about myself, my life and my approaches and feelings about it.
As Explorer developed, I was able to enlist the help of family and friends in reviewing and commenting on the modules and my choice of content and questions. This approach was extremely helpful in charting the directions Explorer should take, while it provided me with new revelations about the lives of those around me and my relationships with them. Through the many interactions I have had as a result of developing Explorer, my life and relationships with others have been forever changed while being enormously enriched.
